The Watch, the Clock and the Dawn
Here is a present
Here is a watch
Time for us is inherent
And preciously forged
Here is a gift
Here is a clock
The sand falls swift
And our destinies unlock
Here is a tribute
Here is the dawn
The ever devine attribute
And our stories are borne
What have I got to repay?
When sorrow burns me into a hardened clay
Alas, time has passed and away
Half a century one may say
Leaving no more space to play
And I shall cry everyday
Waiting to be flown away
Here is a present
Here is a gift
Here is a tribute
To men and their lives
Resting in the hour glass
Waiting for the last grains to flush
And may we end in just
